Project Management tool for free

A project manager needs to ensure they have the ability to be organised, which can be extremely difficult when expected to capture all project detail. Wouldn't it be great if Santa did exist and you could send him a list asking, not for a bike or a Barbie, just a simple tool/ document that would make your life a little easier? Well I think I have that tool, an AIR Log and it doesn't involve sending a letter to Lapland, simply click on Centiq's Project Management page and download for free.

What is an AIR Log?

  • A tool that records the projects Actions, Issues, Risk and key decisions
  • Helps organises all actions in terms of priority
  • Helps mitigate risk through good record keeping

Internal Benefits

  • Provides the project manager with a project status overview in terms of; overdue/new actions, decisions, new risks and issues, key information that can be fed into your weekly status report or board meeting.
  • Risk Management through the recording of all risks and issues
  • Aids the project manager in prioritising risks and issues through the probability and impact function
  • Keeps a record of all meetings and items open for discussion
  • Provides an input to Lessons Learned

External Benefits

  • Provides the customer with a risk and issue register, explaining clearly how these will be mitigated/ controlled and by whom.
  • Communicates to the customers project team actions they need to complete to ensure successful project delivery
