Our customers seek the expertise in Enterprise Linux, SAP HANA & S/4HANA, HANA Basis as well as migration and optimisation skills required to successfully build, migrate and run SAP solutions using DevOps principles. Why - because customers need a faster, more reliable, cost effective, more agile, more consistent platforms to accelerate business change and innovation.

Many customers are transforming heritage SAP ECC platforms to SAP S/4HANA through leading edge Agile approaches, to achieve ambitious business outcomes. Due to our success, and demand for our expertise, we are seeking to add an experienced and dedicated individual to our SAP BASIS team. With a desire to enable more customers to innovate, transform and migrate their business strategies. There are significant opportunities for professional development in this position as you will have the chance to apply your expert knowledge of S/4HANA, integration, cloud and automation.

Role Description

As an SAP on Azure Consultant, you will:

  • Support the planning, definition, design, migration and operation of new customers from ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA
  • Planning and delivering the next smart and innovative Centiq solutions as customers migrate to S/4HANA
  • Ensure the solutions you’re delivering meet expectations and operate reliably and efficiently in a secure environment. This includes assisting with the configuration and maintenance of High Availability and Disaster Recovery for the SAP Solutions
  • Consult on the new technology and enhancements being delivered via the SAP S/4HANA platform including upgrade paths and architecture
  • Deliver quality project documentation for the SAP innovations you’re involved in
  • Assist our SAP support teams and customers on complex queries associated with SAP HANA BASIS and SAP BASIS problems, incidents, changes, updates and upgrades
  • Assist in the development of new Centiq Professional and Managed Services related to SAP BASIS
  • Work with other SAP BASIS specialists to support the migration of customers and HANA solutions from existing deployments to SAP on Azure deployments.

Essential - Core Skills & Experience

  • Expert technical knowledge of SAP Netweaver/HANA/Cloud
  • Strong technical working experience of installing and configuring Solution Manager; EWA, monitoring dashboard, CHARM, document management and associated extractors and agents
  • Able to map technical business needs to SAP architectures, standards and reusable assets
  • Comfortable presenting to technical and business customers on the approach options to migrate from SAP ECC 6.0 to S/4HANA and BASIS considerations
  • A good understanding of Service Management and SAP BASIS support processes
  • Highly motivated to deliver outstanding results, great customer experience and focus on solving customer problems
  • Directly supporting senior leaders to make strategic decisions through your technical input into projects
  • Act as a subject matter expert in SAP BASIS that you have gained through multiple professional deployments and projects
  • Knowledge of relevant methodologies such as Scrum / Agile / SAP Activate as well as DevOps automation of SAP HANA infrastructure
  • Able to solve the difficult problems that others may struggle to deal with
  • Thrives under the pressure of project and management deadlines
  • Ensure the solutions you’re delivering meet expectations and operate reliably and efficiently in a secure environment
  • Consult on the new technology and enhancements being delivered via the new SAP S/4HANA platform including upgrade paths and architecture
  • Deliver quality project documentation for the SAP innovations you’re involved in
  • A good appreciation of Microsoft Azure and the foundation principles of Microsoft Azure.

Desired - Specialist Technical Requirements

  • Experience of S/4HANA migrations
  • Experience of DMO of SUM
  • Experience of OS/DB migrations
  • Knowledge/understanding of PI
  • Knowledge/understanding of authorisations and security concepts in SAP
  • Microsoft Azure Certified Solution Architect
