Infrastructure, a world of complexity, with a need to simplify.

SAP HANA and S/4HANA are significant investments for any organisation. While SAP HANA helps to improve innovation in digital transformation, it can take a lot of detail and resources to design, deploy, optimise and manage estates. You’re aware of the potential problems and hurdles.

However, moving forward you also have the solutions. Increasing the criticality of SAP HANA performance and availability is hugely beneficial. However, understanding how to do it cost-effectively and to a high standard is challenging.

Improving your SAP applications significantly

Imagine a world in which optimising the provisioning, performance, availability, security, integration and data prioritisation was created for you by a team of experts. This collective works with you, not for you, so your team are still able to concentrate on continued projects, with minimal interference.

The methodology that works for you.

Understanding the skills you require

Many organisations assume that infrastructure skills are transferable between applications and database. However, SAP HANA implementations present new clustering technology, different virtualisation rules, different Linux implementations, and changes to application and database topologies, such as On-premise, Cloud and TDI.

Top five FAQs

If we haven’t covered one of your questions here, please get in touch and we’d be happy to talk more.

How can I manage my sizing costs effectively?

There are several different way to doing this, one of the main options is by migrating systems and applications over to the cloud. This allows us to control the amount of memory we need, when we need it. Optimising our Capacity Planning, whether it’s in the cloud or on-premise, is a proactive way of keeping systems stabilized and reducing unwanted unloads. If you’re not sure on which options would suit you best, Centiq have dedicated consults to help work with you to answer these questions to suit your business needs.

How can I improve the stability of my infrastructure?

Optimising your estate may sound costly, but in the long run, it can save you a huge amount of time and effort. Automation has provided a way of reducing process time and potential errors in projects. This is also giving us the opportunity to innovate, as well as optimise, overall increasing the stability of our infrastructure, as we reach our ultimate estate potential. If you’d like to understand more on how you can stabilize your infrastructure, get in touch and our experienced consultants will work with you to understand your full potential and how to get there.

How can I manage costs?

Much the same as the question of stability above, costs will reduce naturally when we strive to optimise our estates and increase performance. By reducing risks, you’ll be able to budget resources in areas that work to improve your overall customer satisfaction and business needs proactively. Working with a trusted partner with a huge amount of experience in this area is a great start to understand your full potential.

What and how can I automate to manage processes?

Once you’ve invested some time in automating the first few processes, it becomes easier to replicate across more systems, landscapes and processes. Getting your feet off the ground and even understanding the potential culture shift this may bring on your organisation is a good way to start. Centiq can offer this starting point, working with you to understand where you are now with your processes and how best to optimise performance.

What skill set do we need for SAP HANA or SAP S/4HANA?

From a recent independent survey Centiq ran in 2018, we discovered that, from 250 SAP HANA or S/4HANA users, the main gaps in their skill sets were: S/4HANA functionality (58%), Cloud infrastructure skills (57%), Technical skills in SAP HANA management (54%), SAP HANA solutions architecture (53%). Whilst a lot of these organisations had some excellent IT teams working for them, there’s still room to pursue their full SAP HANA and S/4HANA potential. Centiq have been working on SAP HANA projects since the first release in the UK, in 2011. Having collected a huge wealth of knowledge over the years, we work with businesses to help fulfil their SAP HANA and S/4HANA potential, by sharing that expertise and being an extended, flexible team.
