In our discussion, in the first video we talked about how back in 2019, Retail 2.0, retailers were clambering to provide immersive experiences in-store to attract consumers. Now with Retail 2.5 here in 2020 these need to be available across any channel that the consumer wants to interact with the brand on. I.e. truly omnichannel.
There has been a notable change in customer behaviour. There is increased technology adoption, driving eCommerce and digital engagement.
What were previously physical experiences to the hands of the consumer requires them to be technically designed with that in mind. Cloud-based to be available from anywhere, secured and dynamically scalable to play optimally on the consumer’s device whatever platform they are using (ios/Android etc.).
