### New technologies have given rise to innovative business models that are disrupting established players across industries.
Companies are looking to stay competitive, gain agility, create value, and lead in their markets.
Every year, more than 20,000 SAP users travel to Orlando to network with SAP peers and get inspired by new SAP technology in hundreds of expert sessions, workshops and theater presentations. This year will be fully immersive and will not disappoint.
### What came before?
- 2014 — SAP focused on a theme of simplicity (under the slogan “Run Simple”) and introduced SAP Simple Finance (now [SAP S/4HANA Finance](https://searchsap.techtarget.com/definition/SAP-S-4HANA-Finance)), a new HANA-based financial application.
- 2015 — Sapphire Now focused on the newly released [SAP S/4HANA](https://searchsap.techtarget.com/definition/SAP-S-4HANA), a next-generation ERP system.
- 2017 — SAP Leonardo, SAP’s platform for developing next-generation technology applications, took the spotlight.
- 2018 — The conference introduced [SAP C/4HANA](https://searchsap.techtarget.com/definition/SAP-C-4HANA), a new customer experience platform.
### So what’s new this year?
Community approach: creating a completely new event experience.
They have created five “neighborhoods” – **Innovative Business**, **Applied Intelligence**, **Optimised Resources**, **Delighted Customers **and **Engaged Workforce** – visitors can discuss the challenges and opportunities of technological change with SAP experts, partners, and early adopters.
